OVERVIEW

The University of Utah Stadium Restrooms Addition and Remodel project showcased Gramoll Construction’s ability to execute complex renovations under tight deadlines and challenging conditions. This project focused on enhancing fan amenities at the university’s football stadium, addressing the need for increased restroom facilities and improved storage solutions.

The project scope included the construction of new restrooms in both the northeast and northwest corners of the stadium. These additions significantly improved the fan experience by reducing wait times and increasing overall restroom capacity. In the northwest corner, the team also incorporated a new storage room beneath the restroom facilities, maximizing the use of available space. Another unique aspect of this project was the relocation of an existing cooling tower on top of the new restrooms.

One of the primary challenges faced during this renovation was the accelerated three-month construction schedule. Gramoll’s team employed efficient project management and their expertise in fast-track construction to meet this demanding timeline. The compressed schedule required careful coordination with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion without compromising quality.

Adding to the project’s complexity was its proximity to an active TRAX light rail line. The construction team implemented stringent safety measures and coordinated closely with transit authorities to maintain uninterrupted rail service while ensuring the safety of both workers and passengers.

Gramoll Construction successfully delivered the project on time, providing the University of Utah stadium with additional restroom facilities and improved storage capabilities. This project demonstrates our ability to navigate complex logistical challenges, work within tight timelines, and deliver high-quality results in active, high-traffic environments.
